A hip-hop EP exploring childhood trauma, romantic loss, and the five stages of grief. The sequel to Threads.
A Letter From tonicSky
I need to be honest with myself. I've decided I'm not releasing aVoid. I'm going back to the project I originally intended to make: Grief. And honestly, this decision feels like coming home.
Pop isn't who I am. Rap is. Dark music is. Honest music is — music that comes from the places inside us that are difficult to talk about.
About Grief
Grief is a darker continuation of tonicSky's exploration of loss and healing — the sequel to Threads.
The EP explores multiple forms of loss, including the lasting effects of childhood trauma and the devastation of losing romantic love as an adult.
Rather than looking away, Grief moves through the five stages — denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance — turning each one into a song.
Grief is what's left when there's nowhere left to hide.
